I was interested in buying a Harmony 850 IR version. My components are in a cabinet with a glass front. Will the IR version remote work through the glass in my cabinet, or will I need to purchase an RF version.

I've never heard of the Harmony 850, do you have some info about it?
Does your original remote work through the glass? If so, the Harmony should too, but that's not always the case as we know. Better test a friend's Harmony first or buy from a retailer with a return policy just in case.
