The model number of the jukebox is a DV-07F. I want to be able to display the playlist menu on my TV which is a Sharp LC-20 E1U. I want to be able to use a "sequence" on the H720 that would turn the Sharp TV on and then enable the Pinoeer Jukebox Disk Menu command. The problem is that when I add the TV as a device to this activity, a power on command is sent. I do not want a power on command sent when the activity is started - I only want a power on command sent when the disk menu sequence is sent.

How do I disable the power on command for a device when an acitivity starts?

Add a separate TV device (also known as a clone), tell it you want to leave the device on all the time, and use that device in your jukebox activity instead of the real one. The harmony will not send any power commands to the TV and you can include those in the sequence.

Another more elegant solution is to define 2 activities - jukebox and jukebox disc menu. Do not add the TV to the jukebox activity. Add the normal TV device to the jukebox disc menu activity and send the disc menu command to the jukebox in the beginning of the activity.

That way when you're in the jukebox activity and want to see the menu, just switch to the jukebox disc activity - the tv will power on and the menu will appear. when you're done switch back to the jukebox activity and the tv will power off again. Since the jukebox device exists in both activities it will be unaffected.

The advantage to this is that you will maintain the TV's power state when switching between activities and it won't matter which activity you go to or from. Doing it the other way you'll have to make sure the TV is turned off before you exit the jukebox activity or it will be out of sync. Manually controlling power is not recommended for that reason.

Thanx Akirby - I went with option #2, working just fine.
