Hi ALL,

I've had my 880 for quite some time and its been working well for me. But I was never crazy about many of the buttons having a similar shape and feel making it sometime hard to find a certain button only by feel. I've had my eye on the One for quite some time but I have a few questions about it.

On most of the pictures it shows only shows 3 activities to select from the touch screen. I know there would be other pages and I can live with 3 activities viewable at a time but I was wondering about both favorite channels and other "soft" buttons. I have seen a few pictures which shows six items per screen. Are they for both favorite channels and soft buttons? I am most concerned about the number of soft buttons visable at a time. With the 880 I can have 8 soft buttons per page, and I'm assuming I can have 6 soft buttons per page with the One. Is this correct? While I'm not crazy about losing 2 soft buttons per page vs the 880 I could live with 6 per page but would really hate only 3 per page.

Also how do you label the soft buttons? Text only like the 880 or can an icon be used.

Thanks,
Gerry

Activities display three per page, custom buttons display six per page. Via the Harmony software, you can customize text only.

Hi xpat,

Thanks for the info. Are the Favorite Channels also 6 per page?

Thanks,
Gerry

Yes with a total of 4 pages or 24 Favorites per activity

in case 24 favs per activity is not enough, why not categorize your favs. make "TV Sport", "TV Kids", "TV Movies", "TV News" activities. essentially, all that will happen when you switch between your activities is the harmony will change favorites listed.

Hi Xpat,

24 is plenty!! I just wanted to make sure it wasn't only 12 at 3 per page!!

Thanks,
Gerry
