Had my Harmony 1000 for about 12 months now and can control all but one of my AV related devices, Bose Lifestyle 28.
I've checked the Bose software (it's up-to-date), think I've changed it's settings to send \ receive IR (or RF, which ever way round it is), even bought an extender thinking I can use this to 'link' it all up, but can't seem to get it to work.
Please, anyone who has a H1000 and controls a Bose let me know, if only to restore a little hope.
Better still, can anyone advise how on earth I get the Harmony controlling the Bose

You can also use the following web tool to find out if your device will work with the Harmony remote. [Link: logitech.com]

bose + harmony can be finicky sometimes since bose systems have multiple set of IR codes for certain models. you may need to call harmony support for assistance with this if you can't get it to work on your own, but it should work if your Bose device is capable of receiving IR and you have that setting enabled on the bose (if necessary).

Just wanted to thank you and let you know that I can now control my Bose Lifestyle 28 with the Harmony 1000.

Told them my Bose config; software, serial number, IR blaster etc and ew language and key codes were set, remote updated and everything is good to g.
From my experience, persist, 'cause it's all possible
Can't thank you all enough, it gave me renewed hope and it turned out you guys kn your stuff
Cheers, hope I can b of help to someone else in the future
