Hi,
Setting up new remote. I am interested in setting up the softbuttons, but am not sure how they are used? I would like to do a couple of things with them, but am not sure how to set them up:
1. Change activity- from "Watch TV" to "Watch Tivo" and "Watch DVD"- however, Tivo and DVD are not within the "Watch TV" activity, so they are not in the selection options...
1.5 Also, how do I get the remote to recognize, then change from a "cable remote" in "Watch TV" mode to a Tivo remote when I switch over to Tivo using soft buttons?
2. Soft buttons as Favorite channels?- there are a few channels that I use frequently, is it possible to assign soft buttons to these channels instead of using favorite channels? How do I do this?

What are some other common examples of how soft buttons are used?

I am new to this, and am pretty excited about the customization opportunities :)

Create activities for "watch TV", "watch DVD" and "watch Tivo". The Harmony software will ask you a few questions, then set up the activities with the correct devices.

To switch activities, just press the "activity" button. The soft buttons then display all your activities. Pressing an activity button will automatically switch all the devices to the correct inputs, and your Harmony will change into the appropriate remote.

Thanks! I have figured out and set up the activities, but I was hoping to be able to switch to another activity while in one activity, using the soft button and not having to press the activites button- is this possible?

Any ideas on the other questions?

Thanks!

a) No, you have to press the "activity" button.
b) You can use the Activity Customize Buttons Sequence feature (Add Sequence at bottom left) for your favorite channels.
