OK - i think i know the answer but before messing with my system (and trying to avoid tech support) i thought i'd come to were the real experts are!

i have a 676 with my system and a 659 in my kids room. both are HD tv's with surround sound 5.1, dvd, etc - plus the kids have 360. i just bought a 880 and want to use that on my system (in place of the 676) and use the 676 where the 659 now is.

i know online i can 'replace remote' - i also know i can have my profile cloned (which is what i did previously).

is there a reason to do the clone, given the above? i haven't used the replace feature and was wondering how it worked.

thanks!

I have used it twice without any problems. Basically did the same as you did upgraded the HT remote to an 880 and took the 628 upstairs to the living room.

Enjoy!

Check the Activity Customize Buttons after you do the online "Replace Remote". Note that you will loose the Sound and Picture features when you replace the 676 by the 880, but not when you replace the 659 by the 676.
