Hello,

I just broke the charger unit of my Harmony 890 (the part that plugs in the wall outlet). The original one outputs an 8V current at low amperage.
Can I use some other transformer that outputs 7.5V or 9V?
Of course I know an original Logitech charger would be better.
But can I do any damage to the remote with such voltages?
If not what would be better, 7.5V or 9V?

Thank you

I have a Harmony 880, which probably uses the same charger. The output of the power cord is 8volts 500 ma. I use a universal power supply set a 7.5 volts 500 ma and it works without any problem. The problem is to find a plug that will fit into the socket on the back of the charger. Most universal transformers have several connectors, but, like the one I am using, they have right angles on the plugs and cause the charger to be a bit lopsided.
