Hi Guys,

Quick questions does anyone know a way of either....

When selecting "Watch Sky" after doing all the commands it can land on the "Commands" page rather than "Favourites" or...

When you press Guide while Sky is the active device can I bring up the Commands function automatically?

THe reason I ask as people with sky maybe aware to go into the Planner Or Sky Anytime you have to press Red/Green which would be easier if you didnt have to pres guide then commands then colour.

Any help?

Thanks

Craig

I don't use Favourites (or Favorites either) but I would assume it's an option in the activity setup as to which screen is displayed by default.

Don't understand the 2nd question - pressing Guide just sends a command to the Sky receiver - doesn't have anything to do with the LCD display. Could you describe exactly what happens and what you'd like to see happen?

Hi Craig.
At Activities> WatchSky> Settings> Favourite Channels> if you check the option to "Always display these channels...." you get the Favourites screen first; if you uncheck it you get the Commands screen first.
Most Sky users have Sequences to go direct to various menu selections, such as Planner and Anytime, and customise them to spare hard buttons.
They also Customise the colour commands to hard buttons so as to avoid use of the screen altogether.
Try some or all of that and let us know how you get on.

akirby: If you have the colour commands only as virtual buttons, and if you have the Favourites set to be on the first screen, then you have to press Guide to get there, Commands to get the right screen, and then the colour virtual button to get you to the option you want - much too laborious for OP - and for me!

hhatkin my good man. Your a legend. All sorted and I'm looking into the hard button idea!

Never thought of making the other buttons do a sequence but the seed has been planted now :)

Thanks again hhatkin and akirby for your help.

I get it now - commands is how you go from tv channels back to custom command buttons on the LCD. Like I said - never used that feature - I always use the DirecTV guide to browse what's on before changing any channels.
