I have a reciever that the inputs are selected in a sequential order by a single botton, how do I program the remote to have the correct input for each activity ?

First you make sure the list of inputs in the software matches the list that shows up in the receiver menu - same number and order (name doesn't matter). Then you adjust the input setup to use one button that cycles through the choices. When you setup an activity you just pick the input that's needed and the remote figures out the rest. The first time you use the device it may not work because the harmony doesn't know which input it started on. Use the Help button to fix it and it should work fine after that.
