I have just bought and had 'professionly programmed' a H. One, but I noticed that it never seems to completely recharged. I always have the 'recharging' icon appearing.
It is not used excessively at all, does this seem normal?
Thanks for any input.

That is normal. When done for the day place the H1 in the charging cradle and it will always have a full charge and be ready for use. This will not hurt the battery.

Rehaz1: Thanks for the quick reply, but when it was not programmed, it always showed a "full" charge icon when I checked it.
But since it is now programmed, that doesn't seem to appear, even though I really haven't used it that much yet.

The charge indicator is useless If you put your H1 on the base each night it will always have a full charge

Just to be sure - when you wrote "I always have the 'recharging' icon appearing" what were you actually referring to - the tiny picture of a battery at the top right of the One?
If so then, as rehaz suggests, ignore it - just keep the One on the base whenever it's not in use.

I think what syogusr might be referring to is the large charging icon in the middle of the screen when the remote is in the cradle. I saw exactly the same on my Harmony One. When I got it first, and before I programmed it, I put it in the charging cradle and every so often I pressed a key on the remote to activate the screen and check the charge status. I wanted to fully charge the remote before first use. So when I was checking it I could see the green charge bar going up (with a yellow "lighting strike" across it) and after several hours the indicator changed and showed full charge. This only happened before the remote was programmed, after that it never showed full charge. So it clearly must be something in the FW, and if that's the case it could be fixed with the FW upgrade. I'm going to contact Logitech to check if my way of thinking is correct. I know that for some people it's a not an important detail, but I would like to see if the remote is fully charged without lifting it off the cradle.

I don't think I've ever looked to see what's on the screen when I'm not using it and it's out of the way on its base happily charging itself!
Because it's always there when not in use there's always enough charge in it for the next time and I never give a thought to the state of its charge - it simply doesn't matter.

That's exactly what I mean, and I am seeing. It may not matter at all, but for the price of the remote, I would like to know that all is well.
Please let me know if you contact Logitech, if not; I will.
I am not aware of a FW upgrade??
Thanks,
Steve

The way to know that all is well is to use the remote - if it works, all IS well.

The Logitech support acknowledged that what we see could be a problem introduced in the FW installed in the Harmony One. He said he would forward my feedback to the appropriate persons in Logitech. So there is a chance it might get fixed some time.

Yes, I think it's been on their list of things to do, since shortly after the One was introduced.
