Hi,

Bought my One a few hours ago so I'm still very new at it - so apologies if the question has been asked or the answer is very simple ;)

How do I remove a device from a *single* activity? Out of my 6 x activities - one is 'Listen to CD' and I don't want it turn on the TV every single time - which it currently does!

I've tried 'reviewing the devices you want to use to listen to CD' where I can add/remove devices in that activity - but the TV says 'n/a' under remove :(

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

When you review the settings for this activity, does it say the TV in on? If so, you either created you activity using the wrong activity type, or you told it to use the TV for the sound function. You can NOT remove device(s) that are providing the primary functions for a "standard" activity type. It will say "N/A" next to those device(s). The primary functions are determined by the activity type. For example, a "Watch TV" activity type requires 3 primary functions: Display, Tuner, and Sound. It will ask which device to use for each of the function. Some devices, like a TV, can provide more than one function. The "Listen to CD" activity type does not require a display but requires a sound device.

Note: If you need a custom activity that is not restricted by this rule, then select the "Utility" activity type.

Hi and welcome.
You simply need to delete that Activity and set it up again - choose the manual option for setting up a PlayCD Activity and you won't be offered the TV as one of its devices.

Hi ...

Both of you were right :P I selected the wrong activity type (didnt realise there were so many!) and the TV was a primary device.

I just deleted and started a new activity and it worked.

Thanks again
