The One averages around £100 here - well below the list
price which is typical of all Logitech products.

Really... why is that? Your extra low cost I mean.

Alexo was talking not about functionality but about the
breakdown of Logitech's web site which everyone agrees
was a major blunder.

I knew what he was getting at, but really seeing as their remote wasn't "functioning" at all due to Harmony's software management, it is relevant. I wasn't going to reply to him at all, but it's just always so easy to find something to rebut his ill conceived posts...I had to. Regardless even if he would agree to my logic on the matter, (and I know he won't for sake of arguement), he'd still come up with some reference to price and/or the need to have your remote working all the time.

"Blunder" is the best way to put it. Unfortunately, the programming methodology will always have end-users at the mercy of IT's ability to maintain Logitech's servers, and R&D's competence.

Say I wanted to purchase another H1 for upstairs. Will the software allow me to have 2 of the same remotes "homed" to it? I do I have to go install it on a different machine and go that route?

You just need 2 different logins - one for each remote. Support can copy the configuration from one to the other if necessary.

All devices can be bought well below list price if one shops around.
The current list price of the Harmony One on the Logitech UK web site is £129. but a typical selling price in a store or from an Internet supplier would be £100.

And as you know I'm coming round to agreeing that users need access to their setups stored on their own computers - and of course I've always doubted the quality of Logi's Research and Development people in several respects!
