Do not update your remote, there are a lot of problems with the latest version.

My 895 is worthless at this moment.
I can't normally work with it.

If you want to read what, then look at the following link:

Thanks guys. I was going nuts -- I just purchased a new Toshiba LCD set, updated the remote for the new TV and found that I was getting 2x button presses everywhere (especially on CATV for some reason).

You'd think Logitech would pull the update from their site and issue a message for users affected by the errant code ...

Oh, joy!

Remote unusable, customer support has gone home and my kids are upset.
Spent some time lecturing them about the importance of only doing business with companies that actually care about their customers. Hope they'll remember it when they start spending their own money.

Logitech is no referred to as "those incompetents(*) that ruined our Sunday movie experience" in our house.

(*) We substitute a different word when the kids are not around.
Logitech Harmony remotes are Crippleware.

Logitech finally updated the Harmony web site with a message, and apparently a fix is available now:

Due to a recent update, an issue has been identified which causes button presses to over respond, sending the same command three times. This affects almost all Harmony users.

If you have updated your remote in the last couple of days, you may be experiencing this issue.

A fix has been released for this issue. Please update your remote to resolve the issue.

We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused.

Best regards,
The Harmony Support Team

Yup, looks like it's fixed. I just updated my 880 and my 1000 and everything is back to working perfectly!

A director, P Evans, has also issued an apology.

The H1000 problems with mapping buttons and updating configuration on their web site has not been resolved and they presently have no time frame as to when the issues will be fixed. Check the General Discussion at the Logitech Forum.

DO NOT UPDATE YOUR 1000.
Even do not play with the software.
You can loose Buttons, Devices and Activity's.

Look for all the problems that there are, on this forum:
