First let me say that I already own a Harmony 720 remote that I LOVE & use for my entertainment center in my living room.

Now I'm looking to get a low end model for my bedroom. I just have a cable box & a DVD player in my room that I would want to control.

I would like to have a Harmony that has buttons that illuminate or that can be seen in the dark. Also would want to program about 2 activities on it , of course.

Any suggestions ? Looking to spend no more than $50 U.S. dollars.

I would try Ebay. I don't think you will find any Harmony remote for that price

Yeah.........I've looked & saw the prices are pretty close to my budget. That's where I was able to get my 720 really cheap.

Do the buttons of the 520 & 550 illuminate. Are they able to be seen in the dark ??

Seller said he used it for only a week then went w/ a Pronto remote instead.

I bought mine brand new from P.C. Richard & Son for $50 just about 10 days ago. I had never heard of them before, but they look to be a regional electronics retailer located in New York. I ordered mine on-line and had it in about 3 days ([Link: pcrichard.com]). This is a new remote with all the packaging and accessories. Couldn't find it cheaper anywhere else.

Yeah

I saw about 2 people on Ebay who had it for $50 brand new.

I figured that I already had the Logitech software on my PC already & I also already have the mini USB cable for it, from my other remote. Even though the seller DID include software & cable.

I figured for $ 30 what the hell. The remote doesn't have a single scratch or ding on it either. It looks brand new.

Do NOT, under ANY circumstance, buy a 550. I'm on my third one...the previous two were replaced under warranty due to repeated button failures.

Well I got a 520.............only $36, almost brand new. Not a single scratch or ding on it.

Been pretty happy w/ it so far.

Curious to see how long the batteries will last, before I have to change them.

My 720 has a rechargeable battery in it.
