If you have gone through each page (there may be more than one page) in the TV Device screen and there are no input commands ;then call Logitech Support and they will add the extra commands for you.
That page that you posted is actually a list of the raw (Pronto) commands that Logitech support can put into your database so you can use the Input commands and Power On, Power Off etc as seperate commands.
Discrete simply means individual and seperate.

I am from Singapore, so it will be costly to call. I have emailed them, hopefully they will respond. The last time i did, they did not.

Go into the software, select the TV device and then do customize buttons. There you can choose which commands show up on the hard buttons and LCD buttons when you go into Device mode. When you choose a button you must then choose from a drop down list of commands - these are all the commands that are configured for your TV in the harmony database. This is where the InputXXXX commands are stored - just map all of them to the LCD screen, then upload the settings to the remote. Go into Device mode for the TV and try all of these new InputXXXX commands to see if any of them take you directly to the correct input. If they do, use these for the input commands.

E-mail is better anyway, but it probably won't be necessary for you to have those commands added.
Follow the instructions in my #14, which akirby describes in detail in #18, and you will find the commands you are likely to need are there already in the database.

I am surprised the Harmony dataset for your particular Panasonic model (TH-42PY800) does not contain any Inputxxx command. Maybe you should try a similar model like the Panasonic TH-42PY700. The dataset for this model contains the following list of input commands: InputAntA, InputAntB, InputComponent1, InputComponent2, InputNext, InputPC, InputTuner, InputVideo1 to InputVideo4. The "InputNext" command is obviously a cycling command but most of the other input commands (like InputVideo1 to InputVideo4) are discrete commands. You need to test them (via device mode).

That was what I was referring to in #7 as it's unlikely that it will be different from the 800.

"Inputxxx" was just an example.
For the "xxx" substitute AntA, AntB, etc as jlet tells you and there they are - InputAntA, InputAntB, etc!
Make sure that when you upload the remote they all appear in the devices list.
Test them all from the remote, make a note of those that set the TV to the inputs that you need.
Then go to Devices> TV> Adjust Inputs to use Method 2 to set them up, and update the remote again.

Thanks guys for all your precious inputs :)
Also to Johhny from Logitech, thanks dude!

OK, euphoria, a pleasure.
Both jlet and I found all the discrete commands in the database - they were definitely available all along for you to use.
As they are in the database they should have been copied over to the remote when you set up the TV.
If they were not in your remote under Devices then the remote needed to be updated.
However it's good to know that you now have it working properly.
