I have a four-year-old 880 with battery/charging problems and I am considering replacing it with the Harmony One. In programming the Harmony One, is it possible to use my activity and device settings that I currently have set up for the 880 or does it entail starting over from scratch?

You will not have to start over. There may be a few settings that may need to be changed. However, very little if any at all.
To replace one remote with another go to Remote Settings, Manage Remotes.

... or click the "Replace Remote" at the bottom right of your Client Software interface login page. If you are using the Website interface, the "Replace Remote" function is under "Support Center > Setup > My Remote".

The fix for this issue is simple. get a new charger and battery. you can find one on ebay if you do a search for logitech 880 battery
