I know the Harmony One doesn't control my PS3, but all I want it to do is switch my inputs to where I want them on my tv when I hit play game on the touch screen. I don't watch movies on the blu-ray player, so i'll have the ps3 controller in hand to turn it on anyway.

I have a Toshiba Regza tv, and it has a seperate "game mode" for faster refresh, etc. So when I want to play a game, on my Toshiba remote I have to go Input, HDMI 1, enter, Menu (scroll down 4 or 5 spots) and select game mode, and switch it to on and enter again to select.

Granted I just got my remote, but I can't figure out for the life of me how to do it. All I can figure out so far is to get it to switch to HDMI 1.

Yeah yeah, i'm slow, I know.

Let the remote select HDMI 1 for you. Then create one or two sequences to step through the menus and select game mode. Then when you do the activity setup tell it that you want to add more control of your devices and you'll be able to add commands to the activity start - add your menu sequences there. Then add similar sequences to the activity exit to put it back into normal mode.

This assumes you have a Play Videogame activity.

Try creating a activity, select manual not auto, then create a "utility" activity.
This will allow you to enter anything you want, step by step. it is tedious but I use this to create custom scripts.
