I have a Harmony 676 and have setup an activity that involves turning on my TV and DVD. The TV part works fine but it will never turn on or operate my DVD when I hit the watch a movie button, it only turns the TV on.
If I click on the proper DVD device I can turn it on and it works so I know the device is setup ok.
I don't get it. I made SURE that the proper DVD device is showing up in the watch a movie activity. This device works perfect in device mode but does not work at all in activity mode. Any suggestions?

Does the Help button work to turn the DVD to turn on?

Just because you can issue the commands in Device mode does NOT mean that the device is setup correctly - only that the proper commands exist in the database. Take note of the power commands that work and whether they are discretes or toggles and then go to the DVD device and select Adjust Power Settings and make sure it's using the correct commands with the correct behavior.
If it is, then try Help next time it doesn't work as Sucubus suggested. If that fixes it then it's a timing issue and you need to increase the inter-device delay for the DVD player.

After fixing the powering problem, then also check the "Play on Enter" and "Stop On Exit" options under the Activity > Settings > Change Options. Note: For the website interface, they are under Activity > Customize > Change Options.

With the Client Software interface, it's under Activity > Settings > Change Options (as shown in my post above), but with the old website interface, it's under Activity > Customize > Change Options.
