Hi all,

I bought this RC today and am quite satisfied by it.

Still there is something which is important to me I couldn't set in the H1000 yet.

I did create an activity with 2 sources (in fact 3 with the TV tuner).

So first source is SAT
Second is Broadband TV box
Third is Analog Cable from TV Tuner.

When I add channels to the Favourites list, it seems it can only be from SAT Source (as I guess the figure to be added in the box is the position it has on the sat channels list).

Is there a way to add favourites from the 2 other sources ?

And then require the remote to pass from HDMI to AV1 or to a numeric channel on TV.

Hope it makes sense and that someone has a solution for it.

Regards,

Fabrice

Of course - you need to setup 3 activities. Each activity should only have ONE source, therefore the reason you only get ONE set of favorites.

Watch Sat
Watch Broadband
Watch Cable

Setup each one as a Watch TV type activity and you'll have a separate list of favorites for each one.

I'd be interested to hear how it is possible to set up two separate sources in one activity:-)

You create a watch TV type activity and add all 3 source devices (only one will be designated as the tuner though). The other 2 are passthroughs.

Thanks for your answer Akirby.
First disappointment then :(
I'll mail Logitech as I think there should be an easy coding way to add favs in the same activity from different sources.
Or to have a Global Favourites list considered as an activity.

There isn't, nor should they be. You should not have multiple sources within an activity - it confuses the smart state and totally circumvents the activity model.

If you setup separate activities, then use the activity menu to switch between sources the harmony will automatically take care of switching the inputs and turning equipment on and off. Try it - you'll like it.

If you're doing this so you can easily switch back and forth between sources then don't worry - you can do the same thing with activities. You can leave unused devices on and then when you change activities it will just change the inputs. It will do exactly what you're doing manually.

By "set up" I didn't mean how to get them into the activity - that's the way you say, of course.
I meant how then to set them all up, to work normally within the Activity - and that looks impractical.
The number buttons and channel up/down buttons couldn't be made to work for more than one of them at the same time.
Obviously the essential solution IS to have separate Activities, which also provide the Favourites.
This topic has arisen in another location.
