I have the 880 and set it up with a much older version of the Harmony software. To simulate a macro, which was not available at that time, I did several dummy devices and used them together in an activity. Now I'm getting a new TV and will have to reprogram the remote. It use to be if I opened the Harmony software and went to activity then customize buttons, I could see all my devices in the activity and the dummy devices as well. Now if I go activity and customize buttons, I get standard buttons and additional buttons, but my dummy devices are not available on these screens. The dummy devices are listed in the activity itself. Does this mean if I update the remote, using the newer software, that I loose my ability to control my dummy devices and I'm forced to use the new macro function. The way I did it before was complex to set up but I was not limited to only five steps! Sorry about the length of the post, this stuff is difficult to discuss!

The dummy devices are still available under that single device column but you can only select one at a time. So, if you update the remote using the new software, you will have to rebuilt your single key macros using the new activity sequence feature. Currently the limits are 5 commands per sequence and 10 sequences per activity. The 5 commands can be from any participating device. So you don't need those dummy clones anymore. You can NOT nest sequence, but a device command can be a learnt sequence (under a single name command) taught using RAW mode. If you have another learning remote, then it's a lot easier to teach a sequence in RAW mode.
