Has anyone that's had problems charging with one of these ever repair it them selves. I think I'm ready to try as I can't get any contact to charge, I think I need to take the cradle apart and apply solder to the contacts but was hoping someone could clarify that for me?

If your remote is still under warranty then call Logitech and they will replace it free

Just to let everyone know, I took the cradle apart and just placed a piece of plastic under the contacts to lift them up a bit, put it all back together and it works like new.

My 890pro worked fine for the first 4 months. I believe it is one of the newer ones with a magnet to help pull the remote into the charger. I remembered reading about using rubbing alcohol on the contacts. Tried it and it worked great. Have not had any problem since.

No the easiest way is to contact Harmony Support, they have been very good replacing defective charging bases even if they are out of warranty
