Harmony 895: IR possible without Radio Transmitter?

Does anybody know, wheather the 895 may have also a IR sender installed directly in the remote and wheather I can select to send the commands by RF or by IR?

Affirmative. I believe you have to tell the software whether to control the device from the remote via IR or from the extender via RF.

every single harmony has IR sender. the 890/895 and 1000 series also include RF.
