Anyone seen that behavior before? What happens is that the remote will work for a little while, but then the STB hangs and is non-responsive. This never happens with the original remote...It seems it's the dedicated on/off commands triggereing it :/
It's a Thompson stellite receiver, by the way...

Try teaching the on/off commands in RAW mode (click custom at bottom) from the original remote.
