My Harmony 550 is unable to control my old Xbox. I have the DVD Remote and the corresponding IR dongle for my Xbox, and both work great together. However, after programming the Harmony for the Xbox, I am unable to control the same. I also tried teaching my Harmony the commands from the original Xbox remote. Same result -- it doesn't work.

Other devices listen to my Harmony without a problem. Could it be that the intensity of the IR signals from the Harmony is too weak for the Xbox to be understood?

I previously had a Sony RM-AV3000. After teaching it the Xbox Remote commands, it worked great.

Try adding the device as an "XBox 360" for the Model name.

My old xbox works well with the 550.
However, I have a repeater between the remote and xbox dongle.

All the Harmony's I've owned have all had good IR strength.
