Good Morning All,

I'd like to go into my Sony Bluray's "System Menu" every now and then, but can't for the life of me figure out how to get there. I always end up pulling the Sony's remote out of storage, putting batteries in it, and using it to get to the System Menu. I know there must be an easier way. I've tried, while in the "Watch DVD Activity", hitting the Menu button on the One, but get nothing. Please help !

Also, I'd read somewhere that anytime you update the remote, it automatically looks for new firmware updates, and if there is one, it installs it on the remote during the update. Is this true and how else do you find out about new firmware updates ? Thanks to everyone in advance. Cheers !

How do you do this with your Original remote? On your Harmony remote have you tried going into Device mode and checking to see if there is a command on the LCD buttons to do this. If there is, you can map this command to the LCD screen for that Activity under Customize Buttons. If not , and you have a button on your original remote, you can teach this button to your Harmony and then map it to either a hard button or to the LCD button for that Activity.

Hi rehaz1,

Thanks for your reply. On my original remote, I simply press the "System Menu" and it takes me into the Bluray's menu for screen size, audio options, etc. I'll try going into the device mode while it's in the "Watch DVD" activity and see if that solves the problem. I know I've done it before, but yesterday I couldn't find a way into that menu. Thanks again.

You can go into Device mode from anywhere - just press the Device button. Once you're there look at all the commands listed in the LCD. Even if you don't see one with the right label just try the commands one at a time and see if one works. Sometimes they're labeled with strange names. Once you find the command, map it to the device and activity hard buttons as needed.

To get out of Device mode and back to the activity you were in just press Device twice.

Thanks akirby. After getting home from work last night I followed your advice and rehaz1 and was able to find what I was looking for. Thanks again to all who assisted. Cheers !!
