I have a Harmony 890. Can I program the additional custom buttons to change to a unique channel on my PVR? I want to use my cable PVR to listen to music on my receiver without having the TV on to see the channels. I want to program buttons so that "Classical" changes to the classical channel, "Blues" changes the PVR to the Blues channel, etc. Is this possible. I don't see a way with the drop down list of commands for my PVR. Thanks.

The 880/885 has a Favourite Channel feature that tou select via the MEDIA button. So you should be able to add a Music channel.

I think the problem is that the option to add Favourites only shows in a Watch TV Activity, so you would have to set it up that way which of course means that the TV would be on due to the way Power Settings are logically set for a TV.

However there is a way of having Pseudo Favouries which I use for the 5 series which does not have Favourites and does not have a TV restriction.

All you need to do is (as an example, I will use My Music channel 501 on my PVR):

1. In your new e.g. Listen PVR Activity (with no TV) go to Customise Buttons>Additional Buttons and ADD a 3 step Sequence.
2. Label it say, FavMusic with 3 commands from your PVR device, 5 0 and 1
3. In the First page of Additional Buttons (you may have to move/delete existing) create a new command
4. Label it My Music, select Device>Sequence with command FavMusic
5. Repeat for 7 more Favorites or more if you wish to scroll pages.

Of course you will need to make sure all other necessary devices are on and you navigate the PVR succesfully without the TV.

The 890 has a Media button, so you can also use the "Favorite Channels" feature. The "Favorite Channels" feature is also available under the "Listen To Music > Listen to Satellite (Listen to music channels broadcast by satellite or digital cable)" activity type. This activity type does not require a display device and is the one I use to listen to my PVR (SA8300HD) digital cable Music Channels.

Note: With the website interface, the "Set Up Favorite Channels" option is added next to the activity, but with the Client Software interface, the "Favorite Channels" setup is under Activity > Settings > Set Up Favorite Channels.
