I was updating a remote for a customer today and was prompted to upgrade firmware on both the 890 and the extender. After upgrading both I got no response from the extender so I tried to add the extender to the remote via the remote's "System Options" menu, only to find none of the network tools are there!

Placed a call to Harmony and found out that because of all the pairing issues, they've made it automatic. It does mean in my case, I had to remove the extender, then the remote...add the remote, then the extender and assign device control followed by updating....in that order. You know longer get prompted to "add the extender".

jlet...akirby....have y'all run across this yet? It's been a while since I've done an 890.

I'm now curious to see how the 890 Pro pairing works and how pairing will work with multiple extenders.

Sorry, I have no experience with the Harmony 890 extender. I only have a 659 and a 680.
