Hi all,

My TV has the issue of when it loses input (i.e. a device is switched off), it will close all active menus. This is causing me problems when switching activities on the 880 - I switch activities, it goes to change inputs on the TV but when it brings up the menu it disappears due to the device (i.e. DVD player) turning off.

Has anyone got any ideas on how to solve this? I was thinking along the lines of waiting until the input is changed before telling the original device (i.e. DVD player) to switch off would work, but unsure on how to program it.

Cheers
Kevin.

You can't control that timing directly. One workaround is to leave unused devices on - that way they'll only shut off when you hit the OFF button (once they're on). You'd have to set this on all activities.

Or get a new TV.

The menu to switch inputs on the TV.
