I have a Harmony 688. I am having trouble getting the above Philips HT device to start in DI mode. The stupid thing has buttons to select the input which also powers it up EXCEPT for the digital input. The DI input selection process requires you to select the AUX input, wait for about 5 sec while it powers up and initialises, then push the AUX button again! So, it needs two AUX button pushes 5 sec apart to get the DI toggled on. (Why do manufacturers do these things??).
I have tried several things to get the two commands out but with no luck. One of the attempts was with the add a function after start up which even gave a drop down option of set input to DI. Didn't work, though. Would the 'add sequence' be best? Would I create a dummy event with a 5 sec delay as second action??
Anyone with some good suggestions?
TIA.
