I am running a new tube preamp (with HT bypass mode) in my main system. It requires 2 minutes from power on for the tubes to stabilize. During this period it can output enough DC to blow fuses in my amp (just found out the hard way). I have an Anthem AVM-20 pre/pro in the same system, which is setup to power on my amplifiers via 12v triggers.

Can I setup the Harmony One to power on my tube preamp first, then wait 2 minutes to power up my Anthem preamp (i.e. amplifier power up)? I have researched this, but cannot find an option to make this happen.

Anyone know if this is possible? Thanks!

Before you bought the One how were you dealing with this amp situation? Is there a way you can tell the pre/pro to delay its startup? When you say you blew fuses, in which amp the tube or the Anthem?

If both devices support discrete power commands, then you could use the activity startup macro feature to send the PowerOn command to the tube preamp, followed by twelve 10 seconds delays, followed by the PowerOn command for the Anthem preamp. In the power settings of both devices, select a dummy command (do nothing) for the Power On function. You can select the real PowerOff command for the power off function if you don't have the same fuse blowing hazard in the powering off condition.

Note 1: Although the power on for these 2 devices will be controlled by the Activity startup macro, in the power settings of both devices, you should still select the standard option "I want to turn off this device when it's not in use". This will allow you to use the Power On delay to delay the input commands for example.

Note 2: The activity startup macro supports sending delays, but the maximum is 10 sec per delay. You will need to send twelve 10 seconds delays to get 2 minutes.

Note 3: With the client software interface, the Activity Startup feature becomes available when you review the activity (under Activity > Settings > Review the settings for this Activity) and select the option "Yes, but I want to add more control of options and devices for this Activity". Just click save/next a few times until you get to the custom Start/Leave action page configuration. With the website interface, you have to run the activity wizard again to select the "Yes, but I want to add ..." option.

Note 4: Are you sure you really like this hazard system with its built-in "booby trap"? Are you sure this built-in booby trap hazard is not a fire hazard?
