I can not get the RF extender to work at all From my remote I have both the 890 and Extender listed From control divices I have everything I want controled from the extender listed
Under system options on the remote under RF network tools it says the the extender is already added
Nowhere during the set up did I have to hit the connect button on the extender to pair it with the remote, thats the way I remember doing it with the last 1000 I had to program.
Is this all done automaticaly through the software / downloading to remote and extender ? 7.4.3
Thanks for any help !

See the 3rd item from your login page "Important Info" by Clicking on "More Info...". The first 2 items don't mention the 890 PRO, but the 3rd one does. Here is the "More Info..." link: [Link: members.harmonyremote.com]

Thanks jlet
But it sure looks to me like they still have a bit more work on the software end because I still can not get them paired.
Can't wait to see how much fun it will be to get it to work Z-Wave dimmers

Man, I'm having almost the exact same issue. I'm had to replace my 890 with an 890 Pro and cannot get the extender to connect.
I "deleted" the extender from the account and re-added but no joy. I've yanked the battery - no joy. I'm running 7.4.3 - no joy.
I'd really like to get a solution for this...

Ok, it's bad form to answer your own forum question...but I became impatient...
If you force a firmware update on the extender and remote things worked perfectly for me.
Put the extender in Safe Mode - update firmware - even if it says the firmware is the most current. Put the handheld in Safe Mode - update firmware - even if it says the firmware is the most current.
You'll end up plugging, unplugging and replugging several times with all the comm checks, updates etc...but ulitmately it worked for me...

I had done the Safe Mode - Firmware updates and still no luck Ended up with Level 2 Tech support and after about a hour with them the remote and extender are paired !
Next I have to add 2 Z-Wave dimmers :-)
