I have a new 880 which I've setup two activities for: Watching TV and Watching DVD.

For watching TV the following is required: TV On, Tuner On, DVR On, Tuner Set to TV/SAT, TV Input set to HDMI3.
For watching DVD the following is setup: TV On, Tuner On, TV Input set to AV1.

Here's my problem - when I finish a movie and hit the power button all components shut off as expected. When I hit activities and select watch TV everything comes on as expected except the TV never makes it to HDMI3. The same thing occurs when I am done watching TV and try and watch a DVD - the TV will never make it to AV1.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to correct this?

Thanks!

Your TV takes a while to turn on. Turn on your TV and count how long it takes for your TV to take commands. This will be the approximate value of your Power On delay.
Go to Device, TV Settings, Adjust Power settings.
Change the power on delay there.
This should sovle your problems.

If the problem occurs only from a cold start, then increase the TV device Power On delay as mentioned by Sucubus. If the problem occurs when switching between activities, then increase the Inter-Device delay. The delay settings are under Device > Settings > Adjust the delays (speed settings). The delays are described in Post #6 of this thread: [Link: remotecentral.com]
