I am having trouble getting my Harmony One remote to power on and off my Xbox 360. It powers on but I have to be standing at least 5 ft in front of the console. It seems like the signal is not strong enough, especially compared to the wireless controller. (might as well just push the power button myself!) It won't power off unless I use the help feature a few times. I am wondering if anyone has found the optimal settings (power on delay, inter-key delay, inter-device delay, etc...)?

Any suggestions or set up recommendations would be GREATLY appreciated. I have looked through the archives but have not seen any posts on recommended settings.

Are you using a learned commands or one from the database? A learned command can get 'noisy' and inaccurate, and of course they aren't able to be editted on the Harmony.

Try the Media Centre Power On/Off commands instead. (You'll have to install a media centre as a device within the Harmony, then use it's power actions).

Also try the power command(s) in device mode. In device mode, the delays are not invoked, so if you get the same behaviour then you know it's not the delays. In "Help" mode, the delays are not invoked only when the Help is trying to fix the power of one device at a time. If it's the command(s), then try increasing the number of repeats (now nameless) under Device > Troubleshoot > xx responds to some commands either too many times or only occasionally.

Else, try leaning the power command(s) from the OEM remote in RAW mode (click on custom at the bottom of the page). If you learn a command in regular mode, it will simply pick the existing one in the database unless it was missing.

Thanks for the advise guys. I am not using learned commands but I may just give it a try. I will get some time this afternoon to work on this, give all your suggestions a try and let you know how it turns out.

Thanks again
