I have a Samsung HP-S5053. My main concern is input switching. Currently I have to toggle through all the inputs rather than going directly to the one I wish to use. Will the 890 overcome this problem?

For instance I have inputs

Air
S-Video
Component
HDMI-1
HDMI-2

In order for me to go from HDMI-1 to Component. I have the press the 'input' button on my remote 4 times.

Can the harmony switch to it in the press of one button?

Thanks for any info.

Yes, that is one of the Harmony 's strong point. It can use the cycling method and track the input. However, you are in luck. I see many discrete input commands in the dataset for the Samsung HP-S5053, and its default input settings is already configured to use the discrete method (Method 2). Many devices support discrete commands even if they are not on the OEM remote.
