I had problems from the get -go. For starters, to play movies, I configured it where it would change the input of the TV, AV receiver and play DVd. Although the website configuration is correct, when I pressed the movie icon, the TV that is supposed to be in DVD input, is instead in Satellite input.
I have 5 units to program but I see only 3 icons on top. I pressed the button with the star and it gave me the game option , then it gave me 4 options: circle, triangle, X, etc. I did not know what to press,so I pressed some the arrows buttons on the side and nothing happened and the manual is pretty useless.
How do I get this to work? Overall, it looks like a great remote, nice feel, if I could only get it to work, I havent even try to set up my TV shows list on my Hd DVR.

I figured what was wrong with the play movies setup, on the video input it had video 7 for DVD recommended, I double checked my video input and realize that my DVD input is 1. So, that problem is fixed.
Besides the icon for movies, Tv and music, how can I add my play CD, Game to the remote?
The TV icon works perfect, I have it set up with surround sound, But my wife hates Surround sound.
Can I set the TV to have Surround for me and no Surround for my wife. The first button for her should be w/o surround , and I can do the more steps feature.

The 676 has 4 activity buttons at the top. The first 3 (from left to right) can be mapped to any single activity using the "Customize Activity Buttons" feature. On the Client Software interface, click Activity, then click the "Customize Activity Buttons" tab (next to the "Add Activity" tab. On the website interface: Click the "Customize Activity Buttons" tab at the top right of the Activities column. You could map the "Watch TV without surround" activity to the Green (TV) activity button, and map the "Watch TV with surround" activity to the Blue or Red activity button.
The last activity button at the top right of the remote (with a star) is the "More Activities" button which displays all activities on the LCD. You then select the desired activity by pressing the corresponding LCD key.

Jlet, thank you. I am a newbie. I am getting the hang of it. I slowly resolving each of my questions.
But, as I fix one, another appears. I notice that when I put the TV on , there is a long delayed and yet when I put the play DVD , the delay is slow, but expected, there is 3 units being turn on. Is there something I can do in configuration to speed it up.

The delays are controlled by the Devices delay settings. Website Interface: Device > More Options > Adjust the delays (speed settings). Client Software Interface: Device > Settings > Adjust the delays (speed settings). Delay Explanation: See post #6 of this thread: [Link: remotecentral.com]

Okay, I read the delay links and I tried changing the delay numbers and regardless of the changes I do ,it still takes 5 seconds or more just to turn on the TV. But, Is not the end of the world , if I have to wait 5 or more seconds.
But a more serious problem I have is my playing a DVD movie. I have my Sony TV, Yamaha Receiver and a Toshiba DVD/VCR combo player.
The problem is that everything goes on but my DVD player. It just says Auto. I have it on DVD input and play. I tried to turn it off when I put my dVD in it , to see if that would do the trick. But it still converts to Auto and it just blinks , then I have to go to device and dVD and press play.
Any suggestions? Tia

Cooljoe815, I have a Sony KV-34XBR800. I set its Power On delay to 500 ms (0.5 sec), and its other delays to 100 ms. After a cold start, my TV takes about 12 sec to display an image, but it's ready to accept commands a lot sooner (0.5 sec). Don't confuse the inherent warm up time of a device with the Harmony Power On delay.
What is the Brand & Model of your combo DVD/VCR device (you say JVC in post #1 but Toshiba in #10)? Check its device power settings. Which method (one button for both or different buttons for each), and which power command(s). Check the behaviour of that/these power command(s) in device mode.
Also check the Watch DVD activity "Play on Enter, Stop On Exit" options (under Activity > Settings > Change Options).

Actually, the DVD/VCR player is a JVC. And I just noticed that it actually does not start when I press play but when it on, it goes automatically to play. Who would I thunk it.
