Hi Everyone,
When using my HD TiVo and Harmony One, I find that there's a delay when fast forwarding. I've tried changing the Inter-Key Delay and Inter-Device Delay, but it still seems to lag a bit. How are you HD TiVo users out there setting up your Harmony One to work as well as the TiVo remote ? Right now I have both of the above set to "0" and the repeats set to "1". Does the repeat have anything to do with the delay ? Thanks in advance.

I have the same set-up. I still am finding that the Harmony has the delay. I've played with the settings, and still can't get it as fast as the Tivo remote.....

I have the delays set to 100, and the repeat to 1. I don't notice any lag.
I have the 680 with a Series 3.

It seems that speed is the price to pay when a new device model tries to do too many things - like a PC. Example: Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player that takes 30 sec to boot! TVs that also take 10-30 sec to power up before accepting any IR commands. Now new Harmony remote models that try to do too much. I think I will stick to my "simple" 680 for now.

I don't have the TiVo, but did have a similar lag situation with another DVR and the Harmony One. I would set the repeats to 0 (or the lowest number that will still allow the TiVo to respond) and set those 2 delays to 0 also. In my experiments, that's what seems to work the best for reducing lag. Worked for me and a couple of others I know of.

The interkey delays are set to 100 ms. Its the repeats that cause the delay. The Tivo will not respond to a new command while the first command is being repeated. So if you push the ff key once, then again, the second one doesn't respond until the first one is repeated X number of times. And yes I have a Harmony one, but it was the same for my 688 as well.
