I have an older Panasonic plasma display (TH-50PHW3) and a Harmony One. I've run into a relatively minor, but annoying problem with the arrow keys.

The arrow keys are only used when making picture adjustments so it's not a big deal, but it is so awkward with the H1 that it almost requires going back to the original remote to make any picture adjustments.

Here's the problem:

Using the arrow keys from the database, press-and-hold arrow key repeats wouldn't work. The display would do a few responses and stop until I released the key and pressed it again.

I tried adjusting inter-key delay (though it's never been clear to me if that has any effect on press-and-hold repeats). I've tried anywhere from 0 to 500ms.

I tried adjusting the number of repeats each key press sends from 0 to 5.

None of that made any difference.

I contacted Logitech and they suggested learning as a custom command. I tried this and it still made no difference.

At this point Logitech support suggested contacting Panasonic for the hex codes. I've sent in a support request but haven't heard anything yet. Honestly, I'll be surprised if they even respond.

Does anyone have any ideas on ways to get the repeats to work properly? Press-and-hold repeats work fine with my receiver so I know the remote does send repeats out. It's (so far as I've noticed) just a problem with the Panasonic display. The H1 appears to be doing something to the command that is different enough from the original remote to keep repeats from working.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Ask support to change the command action flag from "Press" (single transmission) to "Hold" (continuous transmission).

One more for the list of things the Harmony can do but that Logi don't tell you about - and that some of their staff don't know about either!

I had copied Harmony support on Panasonic's "nope" response and they did something - they didn't say what - that made it start working. I'm guessing it was what you said. Thanks for your response. I'm definitely going to have to remember that for the future!
