Hi, Can somebody tell me how to set set up my Varilight Dimmer Switch. Everytime I hit a button on my remote the lights turn on/off. I set up my other AV devices without problem but not having any success with this light switch.

You probably mean every time you switch to a different activity. First, add the Dimmer switch device to all applicable activities using the Device > Settings > Select which Activities use this device.
Second, check the device Adjust Power settings and make sure you selected the correct method (toggle vs discrete). Don't assume the device support the discrete method because the command names seem to imply it. Verify the behaviour of the commands in device mode.
Note 1: You can map any desired light control command(s) to a hard or soft button(s) within applicable activities using the Activity Customize Buttons.
Note 2: You can use the Activity Startup/Leave macro feature to send light control command(s) when you enter/exit an activity. The feature becomes available when you select the option "Yes, but I want to add more control and devices for this activity" under the Activity > Settings > Review the settings for this Activity". You will need to click Save and Next a few times to get to the Activity Start/Leave custom actions page.

thanks for reply, my problem at the moment is when I hit the up button on the remote when I am in satellite device it turns the lights on/off (varilight dimmer switch). The original satellite remote (eycos s80.12hd) does the same thing.

The 2 devices share some common IR commands. If neither device support an alternate IR dataset (address mode), then you are SOL.
