i just updated a friends year old 890 and it works great but there is no rf network tools button is that normal with the new firmware

I also had this issue with a brand-new 890. The new software removes the need to re-pair the remote with the wireless extender. If it doesn't pair automatically (mine didn't), the solution is:
1. Remove the wireless extender in your setup.
2. Update.
3. Put the wireless extender back in your setup.
4. Update.
I have to do this every time I make a change. I make my config changes and remove the extender in one update, then re-add the extender with a second update. Typical Logitech, fix one thing, break another!
