I am considering adding the RF extender to my TV. The TV is wall mounted and I would like to run the extender through the wall. Can I cut the wire and add a few feet? Can I order a longer (12 feet) RF. The RF works great on the cabinet components and adding the TV would solve some problems with line of sight to the TV. OK I admit it, I'm lazy and don't want to point the remote at the TV!

I'm assuming you mean a longer IR emitter wire coming out the back of the RF Extender. Xantech has a 50 ft extension that seems to retail for about $9.00, assuming the 3.5mm plug/jack is the same size as the RF Extender uses. Google 'xantech ir extender'. If your comfortable splicing wire, one pair out of a piece of Cat5 works fine. As I recall, Harmony supplies four dual-emitters with the RF Extender, and each pair is wired in series, so don't just lop off any unused emitters.
