Just a small annoyance when using my Harmony with my new TV. When I do Watch TV, it seems like the Harmony is trying to select the TV input twice. I can see it pop up the input screen, it seems to select the appropriate input and I'm seeing the right thing on the TV. It then pops up the input screen again (or maybe it isn't exiting it previously?) and I have to wait several seconds for it to go away.

Has anyone experienced anything similar, and have any tips for fixing this issue?

Make sure you didn't add any input commands to the activity startup sequence. Then check the input settings for your TV (TV device -> Adjust inputs).

By default, the Panasonic TH-50PZ77 Adjust Inputs is configured to use Method 4. It uses the "TvVideo" command to bring up the input menu, a numeric command (from "1" to "8") to select and input, and the "TvVideo" command again to confirm the input. You might not need the last "TvVideo" command which will bring up the input menu again. With the original remote, what command do you use (if any) to confirm the input? If you don't need one, then just select -None- in the configuration.

Note: I see many discrete input commands in the dataset for your TV. You might be able to use Method 2 (instead of Method 4), but first try all the discrete input commands in device mode to make sure they work properly (and are not toggling nor cycling).

Method 2 works great, thanks a ton for the tip!

I also see the discrete PowerOn and PowerOff commands. If they work properly in device mode, then reconfigure the Device Adjust power settings to use the discrete method (instead of the toggle method) by selecting the option "a button for On and a different one for Off (instead of one button for both).

I have a Panasonic TH-42PA30 and a Harmony 525, and in the dataset for that TV there are also a lot of discrete commands (though not accessible from the original remote). However, checking in device mode, almost only PowerOn/PowerOff/InputPC works from the discrete commands. Anyone with a PA30 knowing if it should work or not?
