In fact I really want to do 2 different rooms on 2 remotes. Total number of devices will be > 15 and each remote only needs to know about the devices in that room. How can I manage 2 different remotes?

The only solution I came up with is to create 2 different accounts and deal with each remote entirely separately in its own account. Is there any better solution?

Also, if 10 devices are set up, but the activities that are set up only use, say 6 of them, are the other devices also downloaded to the remote, or does it skip them as being 'unused'?

That's it - you just create 2 accounts, each with a different remote.

Yes, all devices are available independent of the activities. In fact I'm not even sure you have to have any activities although that defeats the purpose of having a Harmony in the first place.
