OK, this is an odd situation. I have an 880 and a Sharp Aquos TV.

I have Cable on Input 3 (Componant) and an Apple tV on Input 5 (HDMI) Here is what works:

Turning Cable on/of
Turning Apple TV on/off
Going from Cable to Apple TV

Here is what doesn't work: Going from Apple TV (HDMI) to Cable (Componant)

I have tried Option 1, which flat out fails on the Aquos, so I went to Option 2. This 'should' work as the TV has direct input selections for inputs 1-5. However, when trying to go from Apple to Cable, the input does not change, and the HELP button is unable to change the input from 5 back to 3 (You have to grab the original remote to get the inputs to change).

I also tried Option 3, This works as well, except for going from Apple to Cable. In this instance, it keeps stopping on 'TV'. There is no way to disable this input selection. The Help button in this case WILL change the input to Input 3.

I have incremented the various delays from 100 to up to 1200 or more, with no luck.

It is the TV, as this remote functions flawlessly on other TV's.

Is there any work around to get the Aquos to switch between HDMI and componant inputs? I am out of ideas

The Harmony should mimic whatever you have to do with the original remote. When the harmony fails, how do you get the OEM remote to switch to the component? You must setup the harmony to work exactly like the OEM remote.

The Harmony is set up to mimic the original remote..except it is not working properly..hence the post to see if anyone else has an Aquos TV and has figured out the fix for this annoying issue from changing from an HDMI input to a componant input.

That is why the 880 is currently set up to use option 3 when changing Inputs. Press the Input button to bring up the menu of inputs, then press the down arrow to cycle through the inputs, then press Select (enter) to select the input. works perfectly on the OEM remote, works perfectly when going from Input 3 (componant) to Input 5 (HDMI), flat out fails when going from Input 5 (HDMI) to to Input 3 (Componant). It stops on TV, and refuses to budge off of TV when the commands are coming from the 880. I have increased the delays from 100ms up to 1200ms and beyond in 100ms steps thinking that it was just needing a pause. This is unsuccessful as well.

What is the model of your Sharp Aquos TV? Since your TV seems to support the discrete input selection method (Method 2), then concentrate on it.

Try all the discrete input commands in device mode. Make sure their action is discrete and not toggling or cycling. If they don't work properly, then re-learn them from the original remote. Learn them in RAW mode if necessary. The RAW mode option becomes available after selecting "custom" at the bottom of the learning page.

If the discrete input commands work properly in device mode, then make sure the "Adjust Input" Method 2 configuration is using the same command names (not label names) that worked in device mode.

If the discrete commands work properly in device mode, AND the Adjust Input is configured properly, then try increasing both the inter-device and inter-key delays.
