When the Harmony One first came out there was a gigantic thread / debate on the absence of color buttons. I for one use the Cox DVR which has color buttons but am happy to use the custom buttons for this. In the original thread there were pictures showing beautiful color button icons for these on some pictures and I was really looking forward to having graphical icons for my custom buttons. I got my One yesterday but as far as I can tell there is no way to attach icons to anything but the favorite channels. Am I missing something? Where did the pictures come from in the original thread? If is not available I hope it's in v7.5. Listening Logitech. Other than that the One is the best Harmony since it was taken over by Logitech.

OK I went back and read then end of the previous thread and found that the One automatically adds the A, B, C button icons. I had labelled the buttons slightly differently which is why the didn't show up on my config.
Does Logitech (or anyone else) have a list of these "Easter Egg" buttons icons?
More to the point if we can add icons to the Favorite Channel buttons and Logitech can add them to other custom buttons why won't they let us add our own icons to any buttons. It should be very easy to program for them.

Alan:
I just ran into this todaywith my Harmony One. I wanted to replace the text "TiVo" label on the touchscreen with a nifty icon, like the TiVo remote has. But I got stumped trying to add it, and went to the Help center (using the Harmony Remote SW "Help" link). Oddly, it gives me this:
-----------------------------
"How do I add icons to customize the buttons displayed on the Harmony remote's screen?
This article applies to the following products:
Harmony One
To add icons to customize the buttons displayed on your Harmony remote's screen(for example, the X, Y, A, B buttons for your XBox 360):
1. From the Activities tab in the Harmony Remote Software, click the Customize Buttons button next to the appropriate Activity. 2. Click the On-Screen Buttons tab. 3. Enter the label name and select the device from the list. 4. Select the command from the list. 5. Once you have completed your customizations, click Done to save your changes.
List of special icons
* TiVo : Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down * XBox 360 : X, Y, A, B * Playstation : Cross, Circle, Square, Triangle * Teletext : Red, Green, Blue, Yellow * Digital Cable : A, B, C
FAQID=1145" --------------------------
Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but I get lost on "2. Click the On-Screen Buttons tab"; I can't find it. I tried the "Additional Buttons" tab, and see the auto-supplied "Thumbs Up/Down" icons, but can't find a way to add icons to any other buttons, or even modify (as an experiment) the Thumbs Up/Down icons. My only guess is in the Help text where they list only the Thumbs Up/Down icons as available. But that's just a guess, and the Help file seems, simply, incorrect.
So I (and others) share your confusion, this doesn't seem to be available, but if someone else knows of a way I'd love to know! I hope I am just missing something obvious...

By "On screen buttons" they do mean "additional buttons". For the 5 activities in their "list of special icons" you can add those icons; you can't add any others.

What makes a command "teletext" that would permit the RGBY color icons to be used?
I have multiple DIRECTV receivers that have RED, GREEN, BLUE, and YELLOW as discrete commands, they are labeled as such, yet they don't have the icons.
Is there any way to fake out the Harmony 1 to use the teletext icons for the DIRECTV R, G, B, Y commands?
