Once I fully charge the remote I can get about a 1.5 days before it needs to go back on the base.

1.5 what - minutes? hours? days? weeks?

I don't know how long my goes for - I put it back in the cradle when I've finished with it. Isn't that how it's supposed to work?

Sorry I forgot to put the time and I fixed it in the original post.

I'm not sure about putting it in the cradle everytime but I guess it wouldn't hurt. I was just stating that I can get just about 2 days use out of a full charge.

Some people with previous Harmony remotes were getting ~10 days or so.

I'll just put it on the base everynight like you mentioned.

It would be a really poor piece of design if you had to keep track of how many times or how long it was in the cradle! I see the cradle as somwhere to store it when not in use, so I know just where to find it, and it's always ready to go.

If there was any chance of problems through leaving it in the cradle too long, I'd expect a clear warning - but the remote or cradle should be able to handle all that quietly by themselves.

I get approximately 12 days out of my remote and maybe more if I do no updates. On a few occasions I only get few days when the backlight does not shut down properly but ever since the fix has been posted and applied I am back to almost two weeks use.
