I just got off of a long in depth talk with a Customer Service Rep at Logitech. I told him about the delay even with the inter-key delay and the repeat at 0 the Harmony One has a slight delay with every button push no matter what device I'm using.

We went thru a bunch of changes and even tried learning the "RAW" remote codes on such things as the AV receiver volume UP/DOWN but it didn't really make a difference.

Since I have my Harmony 659 I told him that when I use this remote and push the volume UP/DOWN on to control my AV receiver, the device works instantly to button pushes. It even works instanly when using the original remote.

We both thought about it and he said that it could possibly be that since the Harmony One uses a processor it will have a slight delay. Since the 659 doesn't then it's not experiencing these delays from button pushes.

I'm not real happy about the outcome but I'm sure as he said that Logitech will work on trying to fix this problem if they can. For now it seems as though this is just the way this remote is going to work.

Logitech has really good customer service [at least on my experience] and I'm sure they will not let something like this get by.

I suggest that other people call Logitech and have them make note that your experiencing the same thing and request that it be fixed.

This sounds like the problem my One has with setting the correct inputs to the TV.
The 525 does the job perfectly but no matter what the settings for delays and power the One makes a hash of it every time.

The fact that the Harmony has a processor shouldn't make any difference - even it it had to recreate the IR signal from a scratch each time, it should take microseconds, not tenths of a second.

yeah well he wasn't that trained on the build of the H1. This was just something that we said after the long technical help he gave and couldn't come up with anything else.

He was making note of this problem and would forward it to the correct people. He was very, very helpful and seemed rather bothered by the problem himself and said he would "make sure" that the technical department received the problem.

I was just letting people know that this is a problem as some of us know and I'm sure they'll correct it soon.

This isn't and H1 problem, it's a Harmony problem. I have dealt with MANY Harmony remotes over the last few years, and have seen this issue on just about every model. I was using an 880 and 890 within the last week or so with the same issue. Some consumers don't seem to notice it, but I personally find it quite annoying. Not sure what the cause is, but it's definitely across all their remote lineup the last few years. For some people, they work perfect, others have a delay. Don't know why.

The only thing that makes me hesitant about getting the Harmony One. I have a 520 that had this delay issue and was hoping that with the One they would have fixed it. Most of the time it doesn't bother me, but when navigating the guide on my cable box it just feels slow. With the OEM remote I can fly through it.

It will be nice if they address this as it dimishes the usefulness of the Favorite TV channel buttons when it takes 2 or 3 seconds to get an OTA channel to receive. (005-1)
