I was wondering if these were in the database or not. I haven't seen them but they may be "named" something else.

I'm looking for them for the Harmony One.

Go to Device mode and try all the commands to see what they do.

On my 550, the 15-second reverse is the button called "Replay".

I've found the "Replay" but there should be a 15/30 second skip commercial button. I don't have the original remote and I have tried all of the codes in the cable box section.

If anyone gets this please let us know where you found it.

I had to re-choose my HD DVR device to the DCT-3412 model. That then allowed me to choose Advance, etc. that are in the database. I don't think they have those commands defined for DVR models newer than the DCT-3412...at least not from what I could tell. I have the DCH3416 DVR and the commands are the same between both boxes. Not sure why they did this. Hope this helps you out.

Oh...and here's a cool tip I picked up on another forum. Create a "Sequence" for your DVR Recordings to automatically go into the list for you, rather than having to hit OK manually to get into your recordings after hitting the MyDVR button. Map this new Sequence to the hard Menu key.

Menu key --> sequence is: 1) MyDVR, 2) Enter

Hope this makes sense. This is the coolest thing because now all I have to do is hit Menu and it automatically brings up my DVR recordings list. I then created a Menu key in the LCD screen in case I truly need to access the Menu (which isn't nearly as often as just wanting to go into my DVR recordings list).

Skip forward/reverse perform those functions, you don't need extra buttons.

I ran into the same issue with the Advance button; you should not have to make any changes for the reverse functionality. You could change the model of your Motorola box; some have the Advance button in the database. Rather than doing that, I just learned the Advance command from the remote. While I was there I also learned the Thumbs Up/Down and Last commands from the new remote Comcast gave me. Keep in mind you still need to enable the 30 skip feature with the following sequence of commands:

Rewind
Slow
Fast Forward
Play
3
0
Advance

Restarting my box reverts this and I have to reinput.

Also, as timmo alludes to there are some other nice sequences to build into as custom buttons:
Tivo + 1 = Season Pass Manager
Tivo + 2 = To Do List
Tivo + 4 = Search

There are others; but those are the ones I use.

Since I watch LIVE TV only on my Comcast box, and use the TiVO box only to watch things I've recorded (I keep both because I like MRV and online scheduling features of TiVO), I've set up my Harmony for the TiVO so it goes directly into the Now Playing list as soon as I hit the "Watch TiVO" activity button.

I found a way to add a "30 Second Skip forward" for a Comcast Motoroal HD-DVR. I just tried this on my Motorola DCH3416 and it does work.

You'll need the silver original remote that came with the cable box to get it to work.

________________________________________________________________________

The following technique can be used to map an unused or unneeded button on the "silver" remote to the 30-second skip command. Current versions of the i-Guide software will skip forward 30 seconds into a recording when this command is sent. A good choice is the 'A / Lock' button since many users don't need that function; you can feel both the '15-second-back' and '30-second-skip' buttons with one finger and move between them without looking. Another option is to reprogram the '15-second back' button, since PgDn already provides that functionality.

1) Press the "Cable" button at the top of the remote to put it into Cable Box control mode.

2) Press and hold the "Setup" button until the "Cable" button blinks twice.
Type in the code 994. The "Cable" button will blink twice.

3) Press (do not hold) the "Setup" button.

4) Type in the code 00173.

5) Press whatever button you want to map the 30-second skip command to (ex: A / Lock). The "Cable" button will blink twice if successful.

Note: This does not work on boxes with the Microsoft TV Foundation Interface (previously used in Washington State, but now converted back to the i-Guide software). As of firmware version 12.22 Insight Cable disabled this feature, but has been re-enabled in firmware version 16.35. Comcast software Version 73.44 disabled this feature, but the latest software, Version 74.53-3321, re-enables it (this has been confirmed on the 3416 w/ 16.20 firmware). See software for more info.
