dont know if title is right. I have a remote controlled light and i want to be able to controlle it always with out going to activities or selecting the device i have a H659 . Basicly i want to press a button at all times and light go on or off. Please help. Thanks

The only way to do this is to create an activity with only the light device. Use that activity instead of OFF and add the light device to all of the other activities. Then you can map the light commands in each activity accordingly.

Yeah I figured that much, tought there might be a way of doing it with out dedicated a activity. Thanks

Note: You don't need a dedicated activity if you add the light device to all activities and map the desired light command(s) in each activity.

You do if you always want the light commands to be available even when you're not in an activity. I thought the OP wanted the commands even when the remote was in the OFF activity.

No, OFF is a special activity that can't be customized.

Well no not modifying off activity. Basicly I just want to be able to tell my wife to turn on the light at any time press this button.

You can do that by putting the light controller in all the activities and mapping the same buttons in each one. That works with the exception of the OFF activity (think of it as an activity with no devices). Since there is no way to program any buttons for the OFF activity, when you hit OFF the light buttons won't work. That's why you need the special activity with only the light buttons. So instead of pressing OFF when you're done you select this special activity. That way the remote will always have the light controller buttons available. There is no way to do that if you use the OFF button to turn everything off.

There is a workaround - when you hit OFF go ahead and select the light controller device. Of course then you have to hit Devices twice to get back to the activity screen.

Ok, my bad, I understand now. I am so used to my "MO". When I am done, I press the Off button which turns everything off (including the Fan), then I go to bed.

Yeah Off is not the biggest deal. Its the on part, specially at night or some thing.

That's why I put one of my Leviton dimmer switches on the outside of the theater room so you can turn that light on or off as you enter/leave. Works great.
