I just purchased a 890 pro that hasn't arrived yet (comes fedex tomorrow!!!!:) and I was wanting to control a wall mounted switch two dimmers for lighting and two fan speed controls for my fan in the house. I was looking on Logitec website and they said that they nolonger offer remotes with zwave because it wasn't taking off like it was ment to. Is it true that my remote doen't have z wave and if it does could you guys reccomend a set of light switches that would be good to control from my remote?

Thanks guys
Brock

Here is a response from someone else on the forum:

You can still get a free zwave lamp module if you get an 890. ([Link: zwaveproducts.com]). You just have to e-mail them for the current promo code & pay about $12 for shipping. They never asked me to prove my purchase. With this module my lights dim differently for different activities which my wife also digs. Z-wave is still supported by the 890's.

I justed emailed the company and they send me the promo code for one free module. If it works I will probably purchase more.

The 890 & 890PRO still have zwave capabilities. The 1000 does not.

Should be no problem with the dimmer switches. Not sure you can find zwave fan switches.

I am starting to believe that they don't make a fan switch. Can I use a regular light switch? I currently have 4 switches hooked up 2 dimmers and 2 fan on/off switch I would be just fine if I could control the fan with a zwave on/off switch.

I would think that an off/on switch(not dimmer) would work.

people are using on/off 15amp switches for ceiling fan lights. stick with the 1000w if you can. also, you will probably burn the motor out on a dimmer.

right now as far as i know there is no z-wave fan switch on the market. everyone has been asking for them but who knows when it will come out.
