I don't have the time to search right now or I would. My dad just picked up an Ethan Allen liftbox with a 52 inch plasma in it (for a great deal), and since I'm his "tech" son i'm charged with the setup. Everything is setup fine i'm just wondering if the 890 will control the Liftbox, it runs off RV signal and i have the remote for it. I'm trying to find a more study remote since his little terror dog broke his pronto.

Thanks in advance.

k1pp3r, take a test drive using the website software.
Go to http://members.harmonyremote.com and Create New Account.
You can check to see if this remote will do what you need by inputting the devices you need to control.

K1pp3r,
I am sorry, the test drive feature has been removed. The Logitech remotes can control anything that has an IR remote control and even some that don't (Z-Wave devices for example can be controlled with a 890).
If you put the exact Model numbers of the devices you wish to control, someone here may be kind enough to see if they exist in the database.
Even if they are not in the database, they can be added and also the Harmony remote is a learning remote also.

The 890 cannot learn RF commands. No universal remote can.

Reading above, I see that the Harmony would be a replacement for a Pronto.
Whatever the Pronto did the Harmony will do.

If the lift box is controlled by RF only, then no universal remote can control it.

Unless it's Z-Wave compatible.

It would appear to be RF only, there is no external sensor and the transmitter is just a small keychain similar to a car lock fob. So there is no way to learn RF commands on any remote huh?

No, they have to be on different frequencies. The FCC regulates this to avoid RF devices from interfering with one another. The Z-Wave RF protocol is the only way around that.
